Perfect product is a trap

Take a look back 4 years ago when I started my own business. It came from an idea and an ideal.

I found that Facebook is a trend for digital marketing, so I made some research on this industry and found that there was no perfect solution on reporting data from Facebook insights. It was difficult for page owner to understand the engagement of Facebook Page, and also for competitor’s pages.

Then, I started to build my product, and everyday I follow perfect ideal (learning from a lot of visionary-inspiration men), thus it was hard to release the product to customers, we were afraid about errors, the team fought so much on this is right, this is wrong, etc… This made us get nothing on customer’s feedback, nothing from tracking, nothing from customers.

Then I realize that, in product development, we have to split feature minimize as possible and finish the most essential parts, then release it to customers. This will help us save developing time, quickly get feedback from users. Because customers don’t need a completed product, they even don’t realize what is fixed for their need.

So, this is a way to work with both side, customers — product team.

Lastly, there is no perfect product, there’s only the perfect parts of product.
